In the 1980s, Hu Bayi, Shirley Yang, and Wang Kaixuan’s close friend, Big Gold Tooth, travels to Wu Gorge in Sichuan to collect antiques. However, upon his return, Tooth mysteriously falls victim to poisoning. To save him, the trio embarks on a journey to Wu Gorge in search of an antidote. But what they don’t expect is to become entangled in a dark murder conspiracy, plunging them into yet another perilous and uncharted adventure.

The Chief Steward, Eunuch Fish (Luo Jiaying), orders Ma San (Wu Mengda), Wang Zhuge (Jia Bing) and Lei Yan (Xu Dongdong) of the Six Horsemen Division to suppress the demons and hunt for the pearl, and to hatch a terrifying plot.
The side story narrates the effort of relocating a cultural relic safeguarded beneath an ancient tomb during the Sino-Japanese era. Er Yue Hong undertook this mission by approaching the tomb which on the surface is a heavily pre-occupied Japanese army base. Tapping his skills for Chinese opera and utilizing his connections, he performed as an opera singer while fighting off the Japanese soldiers on the other. With his wisdom and bravery, he strives with his might to recover the relic.
