In the midst of the civil war of 1948 in Costa Rica, after the disappearance of her parents, a young girl finds shelter in the arms of a creature that lives close to her home.
Juana is a 30 year old woman that, up til now, hasn’t allowed herself to be happy. An unexpected encounter with Gustavo, her ex-boyfriend, revives her most impenetrable emotions. From that moment, Juana feels forced to challenge her sadness, accept what happened, and face what is yet to come.
María José is 25. Her life moves back and forth between the monotony of class at the university, her eternally distant parents, and a couple of alternative spaces where she can explore her own and others’ limits. One day, she meets Javier, a boy she really likes and tries to have a relationship with, but her behaviour starts changing radically. In fact, she’s a few months into her pregnancy and no one knows.
