Two brothers disagree about their mother heritage. The older brother has a lot of children but no money, he is living in his mothers house in a small sea village with his wife and four children. The younger brother has no children but a lot of money. He is living in the city with his unsatisfied wife who desparetly wants a child but cannot. When the older brother wife unexpectly gets pregnant it appears like the perfect solution. The younger brother brings the older one a proposal to adopt the unborn child but instead the older brother can keep the heritage. The older brother and his wife accepts the proposal. When their youngest daughter discovers this she gets very disappointed and makes an effort to destroy the agreement. Soon she finds out that she is not alone in her actions, her newly dead grandmother is still around, ready to help her.
Ofeigur, the passed away father of Anna Sol walks again and starts to involve her life and her boyfriend, Ingi Brjann. The young couples are going to sell the house of the dead but Ofeigur is not very happy with that and tries to convince them not to do it. The intervention of the ghost is so irritating that Ingi Brjann tries to get him away by using methods from an old magic book.

In the middle ages a small Greenlandic boy comes drifting with an Iceberg to a remote and superstitious settlement in Iceland and is believed to be an evil spirit by his looks. He saves a young boy from an avalanche and they become friends. The young Icelandic boy has to fight for his friends existence against the ignorant villagers, who want him imprisoned or even killed
Maria is somewhat of a rebel and problem child. Her mother died and her father remarried some awful lady, and Maria isn't happy at all. She takes a drug overdose and winds up in a home for other girls with problems, but the two women who run the place turn out to be not quite the ladies they seemed. Maria knows she can't stay there very long, and starts planning her escape.
The film is the first of three about the misadventures of two friends, Þór and Danni. Two friends working at a restaurant get fired from their jobs and after seeing an advertisement for the fishing industry of the Westman Islands, decide to go there and make some money. The islands become a perfect setting for many funny and strange situations, especially after word gets around that the two are spies from the Ministry of Fisheries.
