Soviet and Russian opera singer (tenor).
The son of the artist of the Moscow Operetta Theater Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Bogachyov and actress Lenkom - Ella Burova.
On the recommendation of Elena Obraztsova, he was accepted to the Bolshoi Theater, where he worked for thirteen years, and performed 25 major roles in operas.
The first performance on the professional opera stage was the role of Jose in the opera Carmen on November 17, 1985.
In the first year of work he performed 12 main parts (a unique case in the history of the theater).
From 1985 to 1998 he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater.
Possessing a rare voice of lyric-spinto, he preferred the repertoire of the heroic tenor.
After being injured in an accident, in 1999 he was fired from the theater, but restored his health and began performing abroad, where he became one of the leading performers of the dramatic tenor repertoire parties - Herman, Othello, Canio.
He works under contracts at the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, La Scala, and the Vienna State Opera.
Permanent participant of the Chaliapin Festival in Kazan.
