Tomasz Borkowy is a Polish actor, often credited as Tomek Bork.
He graduated from Theatre college in Kraków in 1977 and first came to the UK the following year, unable to speak English.
He moved to the UK full time in 1980 and appeared in a number of film and television productions.
He has also continued to work in Poland, where he is most well known for playing the lead role in the TV drama series, Dom (House) which ran for 7 series over 20 years (1980–2000).
Borkowy has also starred in and produced a number of plays at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for the past 18 years.
Borkowy now lives in Edinburgh, Scotland and southern Spain.
He runs Universal Arts – an international agency and production company for performing arts, while still working as an actor.
Amidst the thaw of glasnost, the Kremlin discovers that two Soviet agents, sent to England under deep cover in 1965, have been “lost.” A beautiful and ambitious Russian agent, sent to London to track them down, becomes embroiled in a tangle of CIA, KGB and MI-5 plots and counterplots as the two lost agents, now utterly assimilated, try to avoid detection.
Successful surgeon Tomas leaves Prague for an operation, meets a young photographer named Tereza, and brings her back with him. Tereza is surprised to learn that Tomas is already having an affair with the bohemian Sabina, but when the Soviet invasion occurs, all three flee to Switzerland. Sabina begins an affair, Tom continues womanizing, and Tereza, disgusted, returns to Czechoslovakia. Realizing his mistake, Tomas decides to chase after her.
After leaving prison, Tolek plans to get revenge on his former girlfriend.
