is an American anthropologist of Alutiiq/Sugpiaq and Nordic descent who specializes in documenting and preserving the language and culture of the Alutiiq.
He is also a professor of anthropology at the University of Washington, and the Curator of Native American Anthropology for the Burke Museum in Seattle.
