Steven Levy is an American journalist.
In the 1970s, he worked as a senior editor of New Jersey Monthly, where he was assigned to track down the Einstein's stolen brain.
In August 1978, he published an article titled I Found Einstein's Brain.
In 1982, he published a Rolling Stone story on computer hackers that drew him into the world of technology.
He published multiple books on the subject: Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution (1984), Artificial Life (1992), Crypto (2001), and Facebook: The Inside Story (2020).
He also wrote a book on Ira Einhorn titled The Unicorn's Secret (1988).
