Slappy White (born Melvin White, September 20, 1921, Baltimore, MD, died November 7, 1995, Brigantine, NJ) was an American comedian and actor.
He worked with Redd Foxx on the Chitlin' circuit of stand-up comedy during the 1950s and 1960s.
He appeared on the television shows Sanford and Son, That's My Mama, Blossom, and Cybill and in the films Mr.
Saturday Night and Amazon Women on the Moon.

Buddy Young was the comic's comic, beloved by everyone. Now, playing to miniscule crowds in nursing homes, it seems like everybody but Buddy realizes that he should retire. As Buddy looks for work in show business, he realizes that the rest of the world has forgotten the golden days of Buddy Young, and that there just may not be room in the business for an old comic like himself.
Centered around a television station which features a 1950s-style sci-fi movie interspersed with a series of wild commercials, wacky shorts and weird specials, this lampoon of contemporary life and pop culture skewers some of the silliest spectacles ever created in the name of entertainment.
When the wealthy owner of an upscale brothel dies, our hero Victor, is sent on a wild goose chase to find the three beautiful heiresses. His only clue is that each of the three women have a hamster branded on their buttocks! When the girls are mysteriously murdered, it is up to Victor to solve the murders.
