Charles Robert Hartung (1917-1999) was an American film and television writer and producer, as well as a theatre director and actor.
He headed the University of New Mexico's theater arts department from its inception in 1972 until his retirement in 1991.
Hartung remained involved in stage productions until his death at age 81.
