Kunjikkoonan 2002

The story revolves around Kunjan (Dileep), a village youth who is sympathized for his hunchback looks but is lauded for selfless service to others. He covers up his handicap with humor. Unmindful of his looks, Kunjan goes around seeking a suitable bride, with the help of his friend (Cochin Haneefa). Brushing aside many an insult hurled at him, he carries on. In contrast to him is Karthik (also Dileep), a violent college student, who loves his classmate Priya Lakshmi (Manya). She comes across Kunjan, who assures her that he would get her married to the man of her heart, but she is killed in a fracas involving a gangster (Sai Kumar). Meanwhile, the hunchback Kunjan comes across an orphaned poor blind girl, Chembagam (Navya Nair). He wins her heart by helping her out. Thanks to his efforts, Chembagam regains her vision (the eyes of deceased Priya are transplanted to her). This results in a tussle between Kunjan and Karthik, as to whom Chembagam belongs to now.

Life Is Beautiful 2000

Vinayachandran and Sindhu are an ideal couple, who are so fond of each other that the greatest thing that they love, according to their neighbours Nambiarettan and Shoshammetathi. Vinayan has just joined a reputed public school as a teacher of Malayalam. The fact that he wants to teach Malayalam is projected as a politically correct stand, which Vinayan promptly starts elaborating with his unconventional ways of teaching.

Nandan, in Kochi meets Sekharan, an old naxalite who is running Jagratha, a newspaper which is feared by political class. Sekharan's outspoken and belligerent nature had earned him more enemies than friends. He is constantly fighting Vishwathan, who rules Kochi with his muscle and money. Vishwanathan holds a large share in Keralareshmi and enjoys a huge political clout at state and central levels. Shekharan brings out the role of Vishwanathan in the murder of Vincent Paul, which creates a panic in the political level.

Punjabi House 1998

Unni (Dileep) has many debts and no way to repay them. He decides to commit suicide so that his parents can use the insurance money to repay the debts, but he is saved by a fisherman named Gangadharan (Cochin Haneefa) and his employee Ramanan (Harisree Ashokan). When they notice Unni drowning, Unni pretends to be deaf and mute so that he can fake his death and the insurance money reaches his family. Gangadharan however has a debt of his own, to a Punjabi family of money lenders who have settled in Kerala. He is forced to make Unni and Ramanan to work at their home until he can repay it. A series of interesting events follow after Unni meets Pooja (Mohini) at the house, who is deaf and mute.
