She had played in two bands, Shes and Inkoma, before starting her solo career in 2003.
She has sold over 2 million copies in her career, being one of the best selling rock artists in the 2000s.

This DVD presents the record of the "Matriz" tour, with the historic show at Concha Acústica, in Salvador, where the artist received on stage the musicians who participated in the album of the same name, all from Bahia: Lazzo Matumbi, Larissa Luz, Russo Passapusso and Robertinho Barreto (BaianaSystem). Accompanied by her band, Pitty played all the songs of the album and several successes of her career.

To record their debut album the...Multishow Registro: Agridoce – 20 Passos 2012
To record their debut album, the duo Agridoce moved to a house in Serra da Cantareira. The idea was to be isolated from the world, in a pleasant environment and close to nature, in the spirit of the Agridoce sound. In addition to Pitty and Martin, Rafael Ramos (producer), Jorge Guerreiro (sound engineer) and Otávio Sousa (photographer and cameraman) spent 22 days working in a harmonious atmosphere and without any rush. In May, “Multishow Registro: Agridoce – 20 Passos” arrives in stores, the record of this season through the lens of Otavio Sousa. There are recording scenes, relaxed moments, music videos and songs that didn't make it onto the album, such as “La Javanaise”, by Serge Gainsbourg, “Alvorada” and “Bday”, composed by themselves.

Pitty decidiu preparar um show especial. Um DVD “mais roots, diferente do anterior, com uma pegada mais direta, inclusive privilegiando lados B da minha carreira”, explica ela. Além de sua banda oficial (o guitarrista Martin, o baixista Joe e o baterista Duda), o show teve participação do tecladista Brunno Cunha (Caixa Preta) e dois convidados especiais: Hique Gomez, do grupo “Tangos e Tragédias”, toca violino em “Água Contida”, inspirada numa ária de Carmen, de Bizet; Fábio, da banda Cascadura, canta com Pitty “Senhor das Moscas”, classico da banda Cascadura, heróis do rock da Bahia. Pitty aproveitou para registar sua versao de “Se Você Pensa” (Roberto Carlos/Erasmo Carlos) e para lançar a inédita “Comum de Dois”. A música, de autoria de Pitty, Martin, Joe e Duda Machado, surgiu durante os ensaios para o show. “Comum de Dois” é bem dançante e de melodias épicas.
