Luka, a young man from the settlement area, grew up surrounded by unhealthy elements such as drug addiction, prostitution and gangsterism. Despite coming from such a background, Luka tries to live a normal life. He has a conflict with Bono since they were teenagers when Bono and his gang tried to blackmail his mother`s stall. Luka refuses to accept injustices and will always help whenever he can but the cards are stacked against him. He begins to rebel against the wrongs that are happening around him.
Rafael (Pierre Andre) is an actor who doesn’t believe in ghosts. One day, he’s offered the lead role in a horror movie and is very excited to carry it but fails to get into the groove due to his beliefs. He travels to many apparently haunted places but sees nothing that will help him act the part. His girlfriend Qiss (Fathia) tells her mother about Rafael’s plight and finally she reveals to him what “hijab” is. It is said that Rafael will finally “see”, if his “hijab” is open.
Yusman who is confined to the house by his father, Dato’ Alwi meets marlia, their driver’s daughter. She tells him about life outside the house. They separate when Dato’ Alwi dies and Yusman goes to London to further his studies. They promise to meet again and are in touch with each other. Marlia lies to Yusman that she is a bank manager in Kuala Lumpur when in fact she is a worker in Yusman’s factory. Yusman tells her that he will be in Kuala Lumpur and will be dropping by to see her. She is worried and does everything to hide her charade.
Rosli loves and cares for Adik, his mentally retarded younger brother. He feels responsible for the well being of Adik. Rosli takes Adik everywhere including on his dates with his girlfriend, and this poses a problem to their relationship. She gives Rosli an ultimatum whether to choose her or send his borther to an asylum in Tanjung Rambutan.
