Brought up in Denmark, Marianne Cotterill studied French at Copenhagen University and singing at the RCM.
Between 1999 and 2002 she covered principal roles for Glyndebourne Festival.
She joined the Royal Opera Chorus in 2004, and has appeared as a soloist in Elektra, Turandot, Tannhäuser, Anna Nicole, Manon, Suor Angelica, L’Étoile, Lohengrin, The Nose, Jenůfa and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle.
