Manuel Manzaneque (Campo de Criptana, Ciudad Real, September 20, 1940 - Madrid, October 8, 2016), was an actor, director and theater producer.
He is also a winemaker and father of another, Manuel Manzaneque Suárez.
He was the founder in 1967 and director for more than twenty years of the Tirso de Molina theater company.
In 1979 he created the Teatro Espronceda in Madrid, being its director until its closure as such in 1988.

After a career of suffering and obstacles, the boy never lost hope, typical of his strong Christian convictions, and became a teacher, finally achieving success in the sand. The film shows with particular clarity the great Spanish tradition, as is the art of bullfighting.
During the Spanish Civil War, a command takes the night to reach an advanced position, surrounded by the enemy, to protect the ford of a river. The next day, soldiers from both sides arrange a truce for fishing trouts and exchange cans and cigarettes.
