Kanan Gill is an Indian stand-up comedian and YouTuber.
He won the Punch Line Bangalore Competition.
He is known for the YouTube series, Pretentious Movie Reviews where he reviews flawed yesteryear Bollywood films along with fellow stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath .
The first movie that they reviewed was Gunda followed by other movies like "Hum Saath Saath Hain", "Prem Aggan", "Aap ka Suroor" and "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge".
In 2023, he had a starring role in the Netflix film, "Christmas As Usual".
To celebrate their engagement, Thea takes Jashan home — but his Indian roots and her family's Norwegian traditions clash in a chaotic Christmas.
Set against the backdrop of 1960s Bangalore, Aachar & Co. follows the journey of a traditional family as they navigate the challenges of embracing modernity while honouring their roots. The film brings together a delightful mix of nostalgia, humour, and drama, capturing the essence of that era.
Biswa Kalyan Rath, is a comedian who used to be angry at the world. Now he is disappointed. In this special, shot in London because London is on Earth and he is a human of Earth, he explores various themes on how the world is an irritating place. On second thought he's still angry but that's none of your business unless you are also angry, in which case please watch. Enjoy. Or don't. Any problem?
Unnecessary milk substitutes. Bad passwords. Burlap underpants. 2020 may have sucked, but thankfully the jokes didn't.
Sketchy Behaviour is an absurd sketch comedy show filmed live in front of a largely captive audience in Mumbai. Described as hilarious, complex, stupid, irritating (and 'sardonic' by one lady in Goa) the show veers in and out of the familiar and the bizarre with equal comfort. A knee-slapping head-scratching torrent of jokes, characters and self-aware comedy that successfully spent the entire budget that was available to spend on the show. Featuring six very silly live sketches, stitched together by a much sillier story about the nature of art itself and bookended by extremely silly and unnecessary opening and closing, Sketchy Behaviour is truly a work of something.
