In the wake of Fidel Castro's rise to power, over 14,000 unaccompanied children fled to the United States in hopes of a better life. Inspired by their stories, Esta Es Tu Cuba follows Anton, a young boy who is thrust into adulthood as revolution tears his family apart.
In front of a lost fishing cove in the south of Chile, there is an uninhabited island. One afternoon, a precarious boat approaches its shores with a man: it is Manuel Ribera, who comes to occupy the land he has just inherited. With no job, no family and no money, he has come with the conviction that he will finally be able to build something for which he will finally feel like an owner.
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, “Mio Cid”, is in love with Jimena, but the Count of Oviedo, his father, challenges him to a duel and is killed. He before him curses Rodrigo, that if he marries Jimena, he will lose his manly faculties. And, in fact, when he gets married, Rodrigo becomes effeminate.
