Yesspeak is a film chronicling the then current lineup of the progressive rock group Yes (featuring Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Chris Squire, and Alan White) directed by Robert Garofalo and narrated by Roger Daltrey. It was premiered in theatres across the United States on January 26, 2004, and was followed by a closed-circuit live acoustic performance by Yes in front of a small studio audience (resulting in the DVD Yes Acoustic: Guaranteed No Hiss). Divided into ten chapters, the programme systematically covers the background, history, and outlook of the group before an extended interview with each of the five members of the group. There are also discussions with members on the band's music and glimpses of the band's 2003 world tour.
Yes have reformed in their most celebrated line-up, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman and Alan White and this reunion has been greeted with anticipation by millions of fans worldwide. Keys To Ascension was recorded in March 1996 during a series of brilliantly staged live concerts at The Fremont Theatre in California's San Luis Obispo. The band gelled magnificently and Keys To The Ascension proves that the magic is still there, great vision, stunning technical ability, incredible improvisational skills and imaginative presentation of ideas.....timeless Yes music.
One of the most convoluted chapters in the history of progressive rock titans Yes -- and there are many -- is Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. In 1989 vocalist Jon Anderson, drummer Bill Bruford, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and guitarist Steve Howe released the gold-selling Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album (complete with Roger Dean cover art) and embarked on a tour called "An Evening of Yes Music Plus." The Evening of Yes Music Plus DVD, directed by Jim Yukich, was filmed at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA -- the exact date is not listed in the credits -- and it presents a nearly equal blend of songs from the new album and Yes classics.
A film largely from the backstage of Yes' Union tour. The concert footage is interspersed with a narrative of Yes' history, told in the words of various band members. (Everyone but Banks, Moraz, Horn and Downes are present). As a reunion show, it's a strange affair, as you get to see the different configurations of Yes (Kaye and Wakeman, Rabin and Howe, White and Bruford) interacting with each other. Still, the emphasis is on the individuals themselves, and there are plenty of good stories here.
