He is affiliated with the talent agency Production JinriSha.
He used the stage name Takiyama Eigo during his appearances in works filmed at Toei Kyoto and Shochiku Kyoto studios from 1980 to 1982.
Since 1983, he has been using his real name for his acting career.
Okochi is known for his roles in television dramas, movies, and stage productions.
He has a height of 175 cm and holds the special skill of a second-degree black belt in Judo.

Shuichi Tsujiyama (Takumi Saito) is a broke private investigator. As well as showing her relationships with the man she loves and the men who employ her, it satirizes corruption and the influence of money in Japanese politics.
