Hans was a model in a photo shoot conducted by photographer Robert Howard in 1988.
While living in Hawaii, Hans had the opportunity to become a catwalk model in Paris, France and Milan, Italy.
After feeling bored with his job, he moved to Sydney, Australia.
Hans stayed there for twelve years to work in information technology.
Then, during a visit to Jakarta, he lived in the same apartment as the late Ria Irawan and Dewi Irawan.
Ria uploaded a portrait of Hans on social media and a director asked him to act.
Hans also entered the world of acting for the first time by starring in the television film When Bung di Ende in 2013.
