A young student (Alekos Alexandrakis) comes from Italy and presents to his sister (Katerina Gioulaki) the fiancée (Maro Kondou) as Italian, because the first insisted not to marry a Greek. The couple, however, in cooperation with the afflicted spouse (Giannis Vogiatzis) strict sister, managed to change the opinion.
A young man decides to "sell" himself to make money. He is trained by a homosexual writer and enters the circles of good society, flirting the daughter of an industrialist. He gets a job in his business and marries his daughter, who seeks marriage to give her name to her extrovert child.
A pretty and chubby woman, Eva, Fontas ex- wife, is now married to the neighborhood’s tavern owner, Menelaos, who gives her a hard time being unbelievably jealous. His jealousy is sparked off by the large number of admirers his wife has, as well as the malicious Fontas.
A poor neighborhood of Athens, Asyrmatos, is the center of the world for the people who live there and try in every way to escape from poverty and destitution. A handsome released youth, Ricos (Alekos Alexandrakis), is trying to make money, at the same time that his lover, Stefi (Aliki Georgoulis), is seeing other men and her father, Nekrophoras (Manos Katrakis), is trying to contribute in family finances. Rico will set up a job, but will spend the money raised before he can put it into action. As a result, one of his "partners" (Alekos Petsos) will commit suicide, leaving his pregnant wife, Eleni (Aleka Paizis), to her fate. Rikos, his beloved and her father, defeated and disappointed because of the expectations that were never fulfilled, will be forced to come to terms with the harsh reality.
