Comienza en 1984 en un grupo de teatro aficionado que se llama "Olga Alonso", dirigido por Humberto Rodríguez.
Luego, en 1986 pasó al grupo de Teatro profesional "Arte Popular" dirigido por el dramaturgo y director teatral Eugenio Hernández Espinosa.
