Poland, 1990s. Sławek gets the gig of a lifetime. He needs a car, so he plans to borrow his father’s taxi. Unfortunately, his mother has a different plan. Sławek has no choice but to take his parents to “work.” They are joined by a gangster named Kris. When they arrive at the spot, the gig turns out to be a regular robbery.
It's a blistering hot summer. Maciej Kornet is traveling around Poland with his 17-year-old daughter, Wiktoria. It's been only the two of them for years, always together. The route they take is determined by where tennis competitions are being held. She is the apple of his eye, while he's her entire whole world. At least until they're joined by Igor, a promising player who starts training with Maciej. As a result, Wiktoria opens herself up to new experiences.
Inspired by Albert Camus’ The Stranger, Rafał Mularz, a stranger in his own society, creates a daily routine and a lifestyle that protects him from the outside world. His method seems to work fine until he is confronted with another stranger. A man thrown out by the sea, an immigrant. Rafał has to make a decision: Will he confront this society unfit for strangers and take responsibility for this man? Or will he choose to continue to protect himself?
