An Egyptian actor, writer, director and radio presenter, born in 1910 in Sharqia Governorate.
He travelled to England to study engineering.
He also studied aviation sciences, after which he returned to Egypt in 1931.
He served as director of the Arab Section of Egyptian Radio.
He participated in preparing and presenting numerous radio programs.
He later focused on the full-time construction and management of Studio Masr.
After problems caused by the script of the film Lasheen (1938), Ahmed Salem resigned from the studio and founded a new production company called "Nefertiti", through which he co-wrote, produced and directed several films, including: Son of Antr (1947), The Unknown Past (1946) and Desert Wings (1939).
A woman is falsely imprisoned for killing a man, she escapes and travels to Lebanon after changing her name, until she is arrested there and imprisoned for the second time, whereupon a professor of forensic psychology attempts to unmask the real criminal who killed that man .
Dunia meets the rich, frivolous young man, Mohamed. An illegitimate relationship develops between them and she becomes pregnant with his child. Mohamed disappears and she cannot face anyone with her child, so she decides to kill him. Her secret is revealed and she goes to prison. She decides to take revenge on him and searches for him until she finds him. She hides her past from him, but she is surprised that he shows her his love and decides to marry her and introduces her to his family, which puts her in a conflict between love and revenge. The mother reveals Dunia's past and she decides to commit suicide.
